Price point question about upcoming Sandy Bridge laptops.

Thinking about holding off until I see these machines.
I have about $700 to spend currently.
I'm curious about a couple things and i'm not sure if they can even be answered yet:

1.
Are there gonna be any sandy bridge laptops in the $500-$700 range?

2.
Will there be much of a mark up because they're newer? In other words, will a $700 current architecture be faster than a $700 sandy bridge?

3.
Are there any plans to put a sandy bridge chip in a ultra portable (12")?

4.
January is CES, can we expect them to ship in january?
