HP 2510p Quick Launch and Screen Flickering Issues

Hi all,



I just received the HP 2510p laptop (seller refurbished) I won from an ebay auction. It's working fine and in excellent physical condition except:

1. Quick Launch buttons are not working. There are no lights on the buttons. I already installed the latest drivers from HP website. There are no missing drivers in device manager. I'm thinking if there is a cable inside the laptop that is not plugged in properly.

2. The screen flickers when booting up to halfway the windows 7 loading screen (I'm assuming until when the display drivers are loaded). This only happens when the power adapter is plugged in. I've tried removing the battery and press the power button for 30 seconds as well as running the laptop on ac power (no battery). It's fine running on battery.



I could return this but I just don't want to go through all the hassle. I already emailed the seller but I don't really expect much from them.



Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance!



EDIT: BIOS update fixed the screen flickering issue.
