T410s - Quick questions

1.
Are the volume up and down buttons known to be a pain to use? Do most new owners complain about them?

I ask because when compared to the T400, theyre extremely annoying to use.
You MUST hard press or else the volume meter stutters.
And when hard pressing you cant move up in small increments since youre forced to hold the buttons.

Small complaint but annoying nontheless.


2.
The fan.
Is it often that you find yourself hear it go? I know its a thin profile computer and everything is compact, but is it like this with all of them or just this one?

No graphic or cpu intensive work is being done and yet its spinning enough for it to be noticeable.


I ask this as I'd like to know whether these issues are common or if there's a problem with this unit.
These two things are my big annoyances when compared to the T400 so I'd like to get everyones opinion.
