Need a new laptop and need advice

Hi, My current computer just recently crashed completely.
I had an HP Pavilion DV6500 CT Special Edition Laptop.

I'm not very tech.
savy, so it's important that I get a laptop that is low maitance.
This is what I'm looking for:
Light Weight
aesthetically unique
Blue ray/cd-dvd writer
web cam
nvidia card

Basically, as you can tell, I'm not very experienced on the details.
All I really use my computer for is school, web (email, social sites, shopping), music (which I just stick to itunes) and pictures.

Even thought I don't need all the high tech.
stuff, I'd like a quality laptop right now I'm thinking of getting either a macbook pro or asusu43-a1 or -x1.
Any advice?

Does the asus u43-a1 or x1 have a cd/dvd writer?
