G73JW-A1 fan powering up under very low load

Hi,



I have only had this laptop for a few days, and over the last two the left-side fan(CPU side?) is revving up to what I assume is full power somewhat randomly albeit consistently. The air coming out is barely even warm(except when gaming), and neither is anything else.



Clarification:

-When running programs(or even just one) it will start and stop every few minutes. The "sped-up" periods are longer than the slowed ones.

-When idle with no running programs it's a similar story.

-When I close everything, it will calm down after a short delay but pick up again either after a few minutes or when I start a program.



Note: The programs can be anything from Chrome to Steam to a taxing game.





I have the latest drivers (except the BIOS upgrade, I heard it screwed over a few things. Should I try downloading that, or is it completely unrelated?) and have reinstalled any that I thought may have helped, but this started happening before I downloaded the latest frivers, anyway. Another thing is that the keyboard area is much hotter after leaving the lid closed for a while than it is even while running games. I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it...
