*OT* NewEgg Heads-Up *OT*

Hey guys -

I just stumbled across this while poking around the NewEgg site:

Newegg.com - nMEDIAPC HTPC 1080iP 85W Mini ITX DC to ATX Integrated Power Module with DC Adaptor - for HTPC 1080i Case

I know...
what is it and why do you care?

What it's supposed to be is the power pack for this:

Newegg.com - nMEDIAPC White & Blue Acrylic / Plastic HTPC 1080i Mini ITX Fanless Media Center PC / HTPC Case with iPhone/iPod Dock

Which NewEgg is currently flogging for this Combo:

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, LED LCD TV, Digital Cameras and more!

But what it REALLY is is this:

A power conversion board that will take 12VDC input from any source and convert it into ALL THE POWER OUTPUT YOU NEED TO RUN AN ATX PC MOTHERBOARD.
For those of you wishing to make a fully modular CarPuter or wishing to build a custom desktop PC that can be run directly from Battery/Solar power, this is IT; the magic bullet that will make it happen.

The adapter is rated at 85W fanless so you should be easily able to run any modern 45W processor and still keep within specs; I would imagine that building the power board into an aluminum enclosure for heat sinking and adding a small fan would probably let you push that to a 65W processor.
This would include a number of quad-core processors from both AMD and Intel.
As long as you use Laptop Optical drive and HDD/SSD like the HTPC case is designed for you should be able to keep well within the power dissipation limits.

I think this could be a whole mess of fun...
