Notebook for Secondlife SL

My partners laptop screen has suddenly developed a liking for red as a colour.
Pretty sure its a sign the screen is shot as the fault is occuring throughout the display and there was no warning of anything going wrong.
Even the lid hadnt been moved so cant see it being a connector problem.
In the evening working fine,in the morning buggered.
My partner does a lot of Second Life but she also creates animations etc.
Her old HP struggled no doubt because she only had 1gb ram and SL can take all of that.
It was the slowest machine ever.
SL is also fussy on graphics cards and although they have a list of acceptable cards as some will not work at all, they seem to relate to desktop items.
Can anyone recommend a laptop to replace it.
I have been looking into ASUS and also Dell has offered an XPS17 at a reasonable price with a GT330M graphics card, i7 cpu, 4gb ram Dell XPS 17 Laptop Details | Dell UK
Will this work properly with SL.
Does anyone have any experience of SL with this spec.
