My System:

Hello all,

So because University is going to start in Sept 13th I am in a look out for a laptop.

Because I will be studying IT I need good performance in speed and power (also gaming time to time).

First I looked at PCworld but because of all the bad reviews I decided to look elsewhere.

I scouted a Dell studio 15, see if its better than others:

Base Studio 1558 (UK, FCG10) - i3-350M (2.26Ghz, 4Threads, 3M cache) Microsoft Operating System Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium 64-bit Memory 4096MB 1333MHz Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM [2x2048] Keyboard Internal Keyboard Video Card 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon™ HD5470 Graphics Card Hard Drive 500GB (7,200rpm) Serial ATA Hard Drive Optical Devices DVD +/- RW Drive (read/write CD & DVD) Wireless Networking Dell Wireless 1501 Mini Card (802.11g/n) Cables 1 Meter Power Cord Shipping Documents Documentation Studio 1558 Gedis Bundle Reference N0855811 Standard Warranty 1 year Collect & Return Hardware Support included with your PC Services and Support 1 year of coverage included with your PC PalmRest Silver Chainlink palm rest with Black Chainlink cover Order Information Studio 1558 BTS Order - UK Primary Battery Primary 6-cell 56 WHr Lithium Ion battery Carrying Cases No Carry Case Processor Intel® Core™ i3-350M (2.26Ghz, 4Threads, 3MB cache) Dell System Media Kit Studio 1558 Resource DVD (Diagnostic & Drivers) Camera 2.0 Mega pixel Integrated Web Camera Colour Choice Black chainlink Accidental Damage Support No Accidental Damage Support LCD 15.6; High Definition (1366x768) WLED Microsoft Application Software Microsoft® Office Starter 2010 (Word Starter, Excel Starter) Protect your new PC McAfee® SecurityCenter 15 Month Subscription Power Supply 90W AC Adaptor

Its right in my budget.
Just wondering can I get anything better in that price.
(Also would like known brands like Acer, HP, Dell)

Thanks in advance :)
