i have a g71gx with vist 64... i really didn't do anything with it... i just left it running for the whole night. when i woke up in the morning, i found it turned off and it just won't boot correctly.

Have you tried removing the battery and ac power and letting it sit for a minute or two? This will reset the EC (embedded controller).
Try running a disk check from safe mode:
Check your hard disk for errors
How to use CHKDSK (Check Disk) - Windows 7
You can try booting in debug mode (enable boot logging):
Advanced startup options (including safe mode)
You can also try the Last Known Good configuration boot option.
If none of that leads anywhere, the next thing I'd do is run memtest86+ to check your RAM.

It's impossible to tell if your system won't boot up, you can try reinstalling the gfx drivers from safe mode.

don't know what happened but i can now log to my OS.. i restarted the notebook while in safe mode. after that it's all ok now... didn't even do anything just uninstalled by AV. now i'm scared to turn it off. it might now work again.
